API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspections

Vertix Reliability & Asset Management adheres to the American Petroleum Institute (API) Standard 510, the industry’s leading framework for the inspection, repair, and alteration of pressure vessels. While API 510 is most commonly applied within refining and chemical processing facilities, it may also be adopted across other industries at the operator’s discretion.

The standard applies to pressure vessels constructed in accordance with recognized fabrication codes—such as the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code—as well as vessels that may have lost their original nameplate or stamping. API 510 also governs vessels not originally built to a recognized code, provided they remain in service or are intended for continued operation.

By following API 510 and its supporting standards, Vertix Reliability & Asset Management ensures that pressure vessels maintain safe, compliant, and reliable performance throughout their operational life.
